Creating Web Pages Using a Mac with System 9


1.  Open the System Folder and create a new folder inside called "Sites"

2.  Use  iPhoto to Export an album into your "Sites" folder now located inside the System Folder.

3.  Open Web Sharing Control Panel and turn on Personal Web Sharing by clicking "Start" button

4.  Designate Web Folder by clicking on "Select" button  (above) and choose the "Sites" folder you created.

5.  After My Address: in the Web Sharing window (above), you should now be able to read your IP Address.  
        
           Write it down:  ______ . ______ . ______ . _______

6.  Select the Home Page that you want your viewers to start with by using the second "Select" button (above).

7.  While still in the Web Sharing control panel window, go to the Edit menu and select "Copy My Address".

8.  Close all windows and open your Web Browser (Safari or Netscape?), then simply Paste (Edit menu --> Paste) your IP number in the address line of the browser and see if it finds the web page you created.
