1.  President's Report

Tom gave a brief report outlining the MUGS budget (Jan - June, 2008) recently approved by the Executive Committee.  The main priorities were:
  1. Updating MUGS computers
  2. Services to members
  3. Continuing a solid relationship with Good Neighbours
Two new computers have been purchased by MUGS with substantial help form Powerland and Advance Electronics.  Both retailers have been long-time supporters of MUGS.  Likewise, members were encouraged to support these retailers.
Members were informed that O'Reilly Publications have offered their complete line of Mac publications to MUGS members at a substantial discount.
Mantek Services has become a MUGS sponsor and has provided a number of items that will be used as door prizes at upcoming meetings.

The door prize at this meeting was generously provided by Mantek Services, a MUGS supporter and local provider of Mac accessories.  The winner of the door prize was Hamish D.   Congratulations to Hamish, and many thanks to Mantek.
