November
12th MUGS Meeting:
SIGs
began at 9:00 am
SIGS (Special Interest Groups) provide
an opprotunity for informal,
small-group discussions on a variety of topics of interest to Mac
users. Members were able to ask questions and find others
with similar interests.
Formal meeting began at 10:00 am.
Agenda:
1. Brief reports and club
business
2. Nominations for the
next executive... Mal Juravsky
As you may know, the term for the MUGS
executive ends in December, with the new executive beginning in
January. We hold elections at the December meeting. Mal Juravsky, our
past-president is charged with identifying candidates for the positions
up for election. You can help.
Many of you have voiced your opinion on the topics presented to you at
our meetings. Generally, your comments have been positive and we are
pleased to be meeting your needs. Some, however, feel that their
interests are not being addressed or not being covered in enough depth.
There is an answer - get involved in the selection of presentation
subjects and presenters. Join the MUGS executive!
By doing so, you will be able to influence the direction of the club
and the development of the program. The time requirements are not
onerous (a few hours a month) and the discussions are very educational.
You will find it interesting and rewarding.
I ask you to consider putting your name forward for one of the
positions. They are Vice-President
(who is president-elect for the next
year), Secretary, Treasurer and Program Director. Talk to one of the
executive at the next meeting to learn about the duties of the
positions which interest you or contact
Mal Juravsky at
<remj@shaw.ca> if you are interested in standing for one of the
positions.
Elections will be held at the next meeting on Dec. 11th.
3. Good Neighbours Fund Raiser.

Centre. MUGS members were invited to contribute in support of the
good work being done by Good Neighbours in the community.
